| Mammoth Springs was somewhat of a let down for me. I do not know what I expected. It seemed an austere caldron of hot water belching a fog of sulfuric fumes. I thought with a name like Mammoth it would be much larger. To be fair, the hardened mineral deposit area covered acres. The active spring, however, was just what you see here. |
