For the first time since we left the California desert the heat became uncomfortable and began to wear us down. At a gas stop in Helena,
the capital of Montana, Anna would have another emotional melt down, no doubt
triggered by the heat and our weakening health conditions. It was decided
that we would stay over a day in Helena and just rest and relax.
We went about the task of getting some medicine for our mounting cold and sore throat symptoms. We did laundry and a hotel computer allowed us to catch up with our friends back home by e-mail. We stayed in the room and rested up some. The next day we ventured out to see what Helena had to offer. The state capital had several interesting bronze statues on the grounds. |
