We started out in the cool crisp early morning and drove to Browning, Montana
before finding a place open for breakfast. It was a laid back little joint
with some interesting local customers. This is Plains Indian territory.
One of the more colorful diners sported full buckskin clothing. Strangely
enough, he did not appear to actually be of Indian ancestry. Heading south across Montana the roads were often straight to the horizon with little in between. The scenic mountain terrain gave way to rolling plains and large valleys covered with dry scorched looking grass. |
