| Bird Woman Falls cascades 492 feet down out of a classic hanging valley. A small mountain glacier carved the small upper valley while a much larger valley glacier carved the deeper McDonald valley below. When the ice melted the small hanging valley was left isolated above. Wonder how the name "Bird Woman" got attached to this piece of mountain splendor? |
