The Ferry
County Fairgrounds near Republic Washington was just what we were looking
for. It turned out to be the best camping value of the trip. We had
a perfect grassy site, good showers and it only cost us $7 for the night.
We had traveled 280 miles this day. Our neighbors for the night were a couple from Pennsylvania who had been bicycling unsupported since June 1st. They had started in Minot, ND and traveled southwest to the Oregon coast then headed north and followed a similar route to our own. They had traveled 2800 miles so far. |
