Butano State Park was without a doubt the most incredible
campground we have ever stayed in. It was somewhat primitive with thick
stands of the big redwood trees. Our campsite was isolated from the rest
of the world by the enormous trees. The massive giants blocked the wind
and most of the light. Sounds were dampened by the huge trunks, thick moss
and ferns. The stillness and silence was surreal. We had covered 333 miles this day. The coast remained foggy and cool. It was very pleasant and down right comfortable on the bike. |
