| After Bakersfield the beauty of California began to unfold for us. The wineries and vineyards you hear so much about were everywhere in the hills and valleys along our way to the coast. The large valleys were filled with field after field of vegetables, fruit tree orchards and vineyards. We saw very large groves of almonds, carrots, artichokes, strawberries and of course, grapes along with many other variety of vegetables and fruit. |
